I'd like to draw your attention to a conference worth your while. The conference is titled "The Dead Sea Scrolls and Christian Origins: Final Relics of a Lost People," and is being held March 12-14, 2009, at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO. Featured speakers include: Craig Evans (Acadia University), Stephen Patterson (Eden Theological Seminary), Peter Flint (Trinity Western University), John Collins (Yale University), George Brooke (University of Manchester), William Schniedewind (University of California, Los Angeles), Phil Roberts (Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary), and myself (B&H Academic).
The paper I am doing is on "Scrolls and Scribes" and will have a focus on anonymity, pseudonymity, and the Dead Sea Scrolls.
To reserve your seat, or for more information: call 1.800.944.6287 or email events@mbts.edu. To view a .pdf flyer visit http://www.mbts.edu/calendar_events/dead sea scrolls poster.pdf
B&H Academic (Nashville, TN) intends to publish the papers behind these various presentations in a forthcoming book.
